GENTRY — For those who have not seen it, the Gentry Pioneer Marching Band has been hard at work learning new music and new routines for this year’s halftime performances.

The band’s show this year is called “The Samurai and the Maiden” and was written by Randall Standridge. Band members added samurai headbands to their uniforms and play music which tells the story.

The band is under the direction of Karri Wesson. Amanda Smith is the drum major, and Holden Wills is the assistant drum major.
