Wooldridge joins Sager Creek Pediatrics and Family Care clinic
SILOAM SPRINGS — Community Physicians Group announced the arrival of Terry Wooldridge, M.D., to the Sager Creek Pediatrics and Family Care clinic in Siloam Springs.
Dr. Wooldridge holds a master’s degree in pathology and microbiology and received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska’s Medical Center. He completed his residency through the Creighton-Nebraska University Health Foundation Pediatrics Residency program, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in Kearney, Neb. He has cared for children for more than 21 years and entered the field of healthcare largely due to his mother.
“My mother passed away when I was 14,” he said. “She had been ill from the time I was born. It was very difficult. I wanted a career where I could help others, and medicine fulfilled that. I enjoy kids and helping parents. I like to believe that I am here to share my knowledge of pediatrics (all facets) with parents, establish a trust between the child, parents and myself.”
Dr. Wooldridge’s awards include the Patients’ Choice Award in 2012. Patients’ Choice recognition reflects the difference a particular physician has made in the lives of his or her patients. The honor is bestowed to physicians who have received near perfect scores in voting by patients. He also received the Compassionate Doctor Recognition in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Compassionate Doctor certification is granted to physicians who treat their patients with the utmost kindness, and the honor is given based on a physician’s overall and bedside manner scores.
“I accepted the job with Community Physicians Group because of what they stand for. The initial correspondence with the group’s physicians and administration had a big impact on me,” he explained. “I believe we share the same values and ethics.”
Dr. Wooldridge began seeing patients Oct. 1 and is accepting new patients. For an appointment, call the Sager Creek Pediatric and Family Care clinic at 479-549-4228.
