Gen­try girls play hard to stay in match against Pea Ridge

GEN­TRY — The Lady Pioneers fell to the Lady Black­hawks of Pea Ridge on Thurs­day, 25-16, 25-10 and 28-26, with the Gen­try girls putting up a tremen­dous fight to stay in the match in the third set.

The girls also fell at Har­ri­son in three straight sets on Sept. 25 by scores of 25-11, 25-5 and 25-8.

The losses put the Gen­try team at 1-13 over­all and 0-10 in con­fer­ence play.

On Satur­day, the Lady Pioneers fell, 2-0, to the Lady Tro­jans of South­west High School in Wash­burn, Mo., in a non-con­fer­ence match, 25-20 and 25-15.

The girls were sched­uled to play at Gravette on Tues­day (af­ter press time).
