Where Atlanta - - EDITOR’S ITINERARY - Claudia Mashburn Head Concierge, Atlanta Marriott Marquis —KRISTINA DREW

Q: Which restaurants have great outdoor seating options?

A: Pacific Rim is right next door to the hotel—they serve Japanese and Thai and have a great outdoor patio. Lure on Crescent Avenue is considered the adventure of seafood and is a fun place to venture out to. The Lawrence off of Juniper Street is my favorite—they have one of the best mixologists in town.

Q: A family is staying at the hotel for spring break and they need help planning the perfect warm-weather day. What do you recommend for them?

A: If it's a family with teenagers, then I would recommend them to rent some bikes and start at Irwin. I would tell them to take the [ Atlanta Beltline] to Ponce City Market. Afterward, take the Beltline to

Piedmont Park and enjoy the sunny weather. Take the Beltline back to Irwin [Street] and stop in at Krog Street Market.

If it's a family with little kids, then I would recommend they take the free taxi from the Marriott Marquis to [ Zoo Atlanta]. A family could spend all day there.

Q: Spring is blossoming! Where do you send visitors looking for scenic views?

A: Piedmont Park and the Atlanta Botanical Garden are close by. If someone is willing to drive a little further, I would send them to Gibbs Gardens— the daffodils and cherry blossoms there are beautiful.
