Baltimore Orioles In a storied stadium, cheering the boys of summer

Don’t tell Baltimoreans that baseball’s “just a game.” For many here, it borders on an obsession. Credit a historic but high-tech stadium, three world championships and legendary players. Six of the last, including Cal Ripken Jr. and Brooks Robinson, now stand here as larger-than-life bronze statues. Whatever the score, fans cheer their team and cherish traditions like bellowing “O!” when it’s time to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner,” penned by Francis Scott Key from a ship in the harbor just a fastball away.
