Music Lover

Where Boston - - MAPS -

For anyone who appreciates music—and we do mean anyone— Handel and Haydn Society (1) presents not-to-miss monthly performances played on instruments contemporary with the time of composition. For less than the price of a hot meal, you can catch a show featuring the next chart topper (or industry legend) at Berklee Performance Center (2), home base for the talented students and faculty of the eponymous music college. We’re not sure what’s the best thing about The Beehive: its urban-bohemian vibe, its bar none champagne list, or its roster of nightly live music, from international contemporary jazz to ska reggae to world blues. Club Passim (3) is a top venue when it comes to homegrown singer-songwriters, and this goes back to when Joan Baez rocked the stage here.
