July 4 Fireworks

Where Charleston - - Where Calendar -

Wear red, white and blue and shout “ooh” and “aah,” as fireworks light up the sky over Patriots Point on July 4. Buy a ticket for a front-row seat on the flight deck of the USS Yorktown, the World War II aircraft carrier that anchors Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum. Or, you can view the fireworks landside, where a festival includes live music, food vendors and children’s activities. The fireworks are shot off from a barge in the Cooper River after the sun sets. Parking is $10 per car. 40 Patriots Point Road, Mount Pleasant, 843.884.2727
