This 49-acre free zoo in the heart of the city is one of the nation’s old­est, with more than 1,200 an­i­mals through­out the grounds and in an­i­mal houses. The 14-acre Na­ture Board­walk pro­vides a haven of na­tive trees, plants and an­i­mals and the op­por­tu­nity to be im­mersed in a multi-sen­sory, in­ter­ac­tive ecosys­tem. Open 365 days a year.
