Where Chicago - - NAVIGATE -

This diverse South Side neighborhood blossomed in the early 20th century, when thousands of African Americans migrated from the South. The Monument to the Great Northern Migration commemorates their journey, while the Walk of Fame honors more than 100 big-name Bronzeville residents past and present. A bronze street map at King Drive and 35th Street highlights former homes of some of those famous folks, as well as sights in the designated Bronzeville Historic District. After years of decline, the area is regaining its former glory with new condos, restaurants and entertainment. Take the Green Line El to Bronzeville-IIT.
