BELIEVE IT OR NOT!
Born in 1890, Robert Ripley spent his lifetime traveling and collecting bizarre items around the world, then sharing his stories in newspapers as well as radio and TV shows. After he died, New York businessman John Arthur bought a majority of his artifacts and set up shop down South, in a beautiful old Moorish castle in St. Augustine. Today, visitors will find 300 jaw- dropping exhibits inside the nation’s first Ripley’s Believe It or Not, like a space shuttle made with 280,000 matchsticks, a motorcycle made from the bones of Florida roadkill and a “Star Wars” C3PO made from recycled parts. www.ripleys.com
