Celebrating Spookiness

Where Las Vegas - - EDITOR'S ITINERARY -

Vegas goes a little more over-the-top in October, when Halloween brings out not only ghosts and ghouls but fairy-tale princesses, pirates, you name it—practically every nightclub in town holds a costume contest that gives away insane amounts of money. Also, now's the time when seasonal cocktails are launching—Hyde Bellagio and Double Barrel at Monte Carlo have just released the Spellbinder and Dark and Spooky, respectively, that are tantalizing to the taste buds. For a great cocktail—and eerily delightful view anytime—Ghostbar at the Palms is a great October hang; chill indoors until the sun goes down, then enjoy dramatic views of the neon from the outdoor patio after dusk. For some '20s speakeasy flavor, head to TAO at The Venetian, where Snoop Dogg delights with the Snoopadelic Cabaret. For my full Las Vegas itinerary, go to wheretraveler.com.
