The Nutcracker

This storied holiday tradition comes to breathtaking life courtesy Nevada Ballet Theatre and its artistic director James Canfield. Called "the most visually beautiful production ever staged in Reynolds Hall” by local newspaper the Las Vegas Sun, The Nutcracker is truly the stuff of dreams, played out on stage—in Canfields Victorian-inspired version, a wondrous world of exaggerated perspectives introduces audiences to a flying rocking horse, waltzing flowers and doors and grandfather clocks that tower more than 15 feet tall. as our Rebels will fail to make a bowl game. This game pits the 6th team from the Pac-12 against the winner of the Mountain West Conference Championship game. While it is not a New Year’s day game, it always makes for an exciting match-up. USC beat Fresno State last year pretty handily and the PAC-12 representative wants to continue the winning trend in Las Vegas. Sam Boyd Stadium, (702) 739-3267

Our UNLV Rebels want to give their fans an early Christmas present when they welcome the Arizona Wildcats to the Thomas & Mack. The Rebels have made a point of scheduling a nonconference schedule, and that is evident in playing Arizona just three days after taking on another PAC-12 opponent Utah. All this Rebel fan wants for Christmas is for UNLV to have a good season and an early season win against one of the best teams in the country is all I could ask for.
