One of the biggest events of the year, the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, comes to town for 10 riproaring days of the best in rodeo action, Dec. 1-10. There are 120 contestants this year, including some of the biggest names in the sport, competing for a purse of $8.8 million. Events include team roping, bull riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, branding, barrel racing, bareback riding and much more. Competitions take place at the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), every evening beginning at 6:45 pm.
