Where Maui - - Editor's Itinerary -

>> MORNING

Any day, if it’s going to be a good one, must start with breakfast. I find macadamia nut pancakes best enjoyed poolside at The Gazebo

Restaurant in Lahaina. While in the area, I’ll take my binoculars and visit Papawai

Point (page 44), my favorite lookout to spot whales during their migration season.

>> AFTERNOON

In a perfect world, I would live on a boat. But because I don’t, the Pride of Maui is a happy alternative. After having snorkeled my heart out, I’ll take my beach chair and towel to take a long nap on the soft sands of Keawakapu Beach on Maui’s south shore then head out just before the sun is posed to set.

>> EVENING

Nothing makes a dinner more romantic than a sunset.

Mama’s Fish House, a beauitful beachfront restaurant, is the perfect ending to any day where the stuffed mahimahi or seared ono are must-tries. A quick stroll under the stars through the picture-perfect town of Paia and I’m one happy camper.
