Safety First

Where Maui - - Where Now -

We want you to enjoy Maui’s magnificent beaches and ocean but please be careful. As a general rule, the waves will be more powerful on the north and west sides during the winter months, and more powerful on the south side during the summer months. Ask lifeguards about surf conditions, and pay attention to warning signs (yellow) and warning flags (yellow, red or black). Please be mindful that warning signs or flags may not be posted at all beaches, so exercise caution and use common sense at all times. Be especially careful around outcroppings, and also remember to keep a vigil watch for approaching white water while exploring tidepools.
