FRI­DAY, APRIL 14 — COOL CAT BIRTH­DAY & CLASS CAR SHOW

Join Cool Cat Cafe em­ploy­ees as they cel­e­brate their 14th an­niver­sary at The Wharf with a Clas­sic Car Show and ’50sthemed town party. The event hap­pens along Front Street and fea­tures food, live mu­sic and more than 100 clas­sic cars. Ad­mis­sion is free.

SATUR­DAY AND SUN­DAY, APRIL 23-24 — BANYAN TREE BIRTH­DAY

Planted on April 24, 1873, Lāhainā’s fa­mous Banyan Tree cel­e­brates 143 years of good health, fame and glory. The cel­e­bra­tion in­cludes a birth­day cake, clown acts and keiki games, as well as na­ture-in­spired art­works by lo­cal artists. There’s some­thing fun for ev­ery­one, in­clud­ing hands-on art ac­tiv­i­ties for chil­dren. Vis­i­tors and res­i­dents fill Banyan Square to pay their re­spect to the ven­er­a­ble tree dur­ing this an­nual cel­e­bra­tion. Ad­mis­sion is free.

SATUR­DAY, JUNE 17 — NA KAME­HAMEHA PA‘U PA­RADE & HO‘OLAULE‘A

Pa‘u rid­ers and princesses on horse­back (pic­tured be­low)— dec­o­rated with flow­ers and col­ors rep­re­sent­ing each of the Is­lands—pa­rade down Front Street dur­ing this an­nual pa­rade that hon­ors the king who united the Hawai­ian Is­lands, King Kame­hameha. There are march­ing bands, floats, dec­o­rated ve­hi­cles and walk­ing units for all of Lāhainā to en­joy. A fes­ti­val and awards cer­e­mony take place after the pa­rade at Banyan Park. Be­gin­ning at ap­prox­i­mately 9 a.m. and run­ning un­til 5 p.m., ac­tiv­i­ties are open to ev­ery­one at Banyan Park. The pa­rade starts at 9:45 a.m. from Pa­palaua Street, end­ing at Kame­hameha Iki Park.

TUESDAY, JULY 4 — IN­DE­PEN­DENCE DAY

With gran­deur and style, The Wharf Cin­ema Cen­ter pays tribute to our coun­try with en­ter­tain­ment on Cen­ter Stage. Flags are flown, and The Wharf Cin­ema Cen­ter is dec­o­rated in red, white and blue in honor of In­de­pen­dence Day. The Wharf Restau­rants serve Fourth of July Spe­cials, and ev­ery­one waits in an­tic­i­pa­tion for the 8 p.m. fire­works show.
