In the early 1820s, nat­u­ral­ist John James Audubon trav­eled around Lou­i­si­ana sketch­ing the state’s na­tive wildlife for his se­ries, cre­at­ing more than 30 draw­ings while re­sid­ing in this 1806 colo­nial-style home.
