Ninth Av­enue Food Festival

Billed as “two days of food and fun,” this pop­u­lar food festival knows its strengths and flaunts them. Stretch­ing along Ninth Ave., be­tween W. 42nd & W. 57th sts., the event runs from 10 am to 6 pm each day and is es­sen­tially street af­ter street of Greek bar­be­cue, mini-dough­nuts, Kobe beef burg­ers, Caribbean jerk chicken, Mex­i­can tacos, Ir­ish pub grub, Pol­ish pierogi, Ital­ian sausage and zep­poles, Span­ish paella, teriyaki balls, lamb chili, French crepes, Louisiana Cre­ole, Asian pot stick­ers, fried Oreos, some­thing called “ba­con ga­lore” and more eth­nic cui­sine and desserts than fit on this page, but that you’ll be sure to fit in your stom­ach. There are also chil­dren’s rides and games, live per­for­mances and some shop­ping to round it all out.
