THEBUS  An easy, cost-ef­fec­tive, and en­vi­ron­men­tally-friendly way to get around the is­land is via TheBus, the is­land’s award-win­ning pub­lic trans­porta­tion sys­tem. Many routes de­part fre­quently from Waikiki and stop at Oahu’s ma­jor at­trac­tions. Fares are the fol­low­ing: adults 17 and over: $2.50 each way, se­niors 65+ and peo­ple with dis­abil­ity: $1 each way, youths ages 6-17, $1.25 each way. Each trip al­lows for one trans­fer.
