Where Orlando - - Editors Itinerary -

During the holidays, visiting a town called Winter Park is a must. What began as a resort town in the late 1800s remains an upscale community today set amid scenic lakes and moss-draped oaks. Running through this quaint enclave is the bricked Park Avenue, with a row of fabulous stores facing the park, offering everything from fine jewelry, rare books, furniture, handmade chocolates, baby clothes and home décor. Some of my favorite stops include Peterbooke Chocolates, Tug Boat and the Bird for children's gifts, Alex and Ani's jewelry and the gift shop at the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art. Grab a cup of coffee and a pastry at Croissant Gourmet to keep you going.
