Where Orlando - - Museums+Attractions -

Built in 1937 as a quiet colony for artists to exercise creativity and collaboration, the Maitland Art Center is one of the Southeast’s only remaining examples of Mayan-revival, fantasy architecture. Mary Curtis Bok, wife of Bok Tower Gardens’ creator, was one of the artists who worked there. The hidden gem just north of Orlando was recently recognized as a National Historic Landmark.
