We share fall's most festive events, from Epcot's Food & Wine Festival to Halloween.
Your most vivid nightmares will spill onto the streets of Universal Studios this fall at Halloween Horror Nights. Universal’s set designers, make-up artists and special-effect engineers have created nine haunted houses featuring new themes like “The Exorcist” as well as enhanced favorites like “The Walking Dead” and “Texas Chainsaw Massacre.” Plus, multiple monster-filled scare zones, scream-filled live shows and thrilling rides running in the dead of night combine for frightfully fun mayhem. Select nights Sept. 16-Oct. 31, special admission required, www.halloweenhorrornights.com.
MICKEY’S NOT SO SCARY HALLOWEEN PARTY
Dress up in your favorite costumes and trick- or-treat your way around Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Kids receive trick- or-treat bags and follow two trails throughout the park from 7 pm to midnight, while enjoying shorter lines for the rides. The Boo to You Parade is a spectacle of light and fright featuring the Haunted Mansion grave diggers and Disney villains like Maleficent, Jafar and Cruella de Vil. Don’t forget to ride Haunted Mansion where costumed cast members entertain while you wait in line. The excitement culminates in nightly HalloWishes Fireworks at 9:30 pm. Select dates Sept. 2- Oct. 31, special admission required, www.disneyworld.disney.go.com.
SEAWORLD’S HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR
Be immersed in an underwater world of mysterious sea life. Kids love trick- or-treating their way around the park with whimsical characters, participating in sea-themed activities in a carnival-like setting and the Sesame Street “Countdown to Halloween” with Elmo, the Count and friends. LEGOLAND’S BRICK OR TREAT
