Find red-hot celebrity chefs and ultra-cool milkshakes.

For the ultimate date-night adventure, head to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, open to the public. Step inside the Jambo House, and you’ll be transported halfway across the globe to Africa with the thatched roof, cathedral ceilings, and stunning woodwork and art. Just outside, stroll the grounds of the nature preserve to spot zebras, gazelles, longhorn cattle and giraffes. Immerse the senses with dinner at Jiko—the Cooking Place. New head chef, Daniel Sicilia, and pastry chef, Michael Craig, present a beautifully crafted menu with an exciting fusion of African, Indian and Mediterranean flavors. Whet your palate with the Taste of Africa, then move on to hearty entrees like lamb, elk and wagyu. Jiko is also known for its wine list. Wine Spectator has taken notice of the 135-bottle, 100 percent South African collection. Children are welcome in the dining room, and childcare is also provided at Simba’s Clubhouse.
