The Penn Re­lays is the world’s first an­nual re­lay meet. Con­ti­n­un­ing to­day to be one of the most pop­u­lar re­lay events, the 123rd year is ex­pected to garner around 100,000 fans from all over the coun­try. Held at Franklin Field on the Univer­sity of Penn­syl­va­nia cam­pus, the week­end is more than just watch­ing the races. From April 27-29, see races from high school boys and girls, col­lege men and women, night­time dis­tance run­ners and Olympic de­vel­op­ment events, plus the much awaited USA vs. The World race. Be­yond the races, The Penn Re­lays Car­ni­val oc­curs through­out the week­end and in­cludes Ven­dor Vil­lage, which of­fers food and drinks from par­tic­i­pat­ing coun­tries, fun mer­chan­dise and track and field demon­stra­tions.
