BIRDS AND BUB­BLES

Fried chicken, cham­pagne and side dishes are the stars of this meal, hosted by chef, restau­ra­teur, au­thor and tele­vi­sion per­son­al­ity Todd English. Lo­cal guest chefs, each put­ting their own spin on the South­ern spe­cialty, in­clude Stephen Jones, Cullen Camp­bell, Justin Beck­ett, Jeremy Pacheco, Gio Osso and Beau MacMil­lan, as well as chefs Clay Con­ley and Lind­say Autry from Florida. Also on hand: Amer­i­can coun­try singer/song­writer D. Vin­cent Wil­liams and The Nashville All-Stars, whose “Just Got Started Lovin‘ You“(sung by James Otto) was a coun­try chart-top­per in 2008.

BEST OF THE WEST

Chef/restau­ra­teur and “Chopped” judge Scott Co­nant hosts this event at the re­sort‘s sig­na­ture restau­rant, el­e­ments, and its in­door/out­door Pray­ing Monk venue. More than a dozen el­e­gant restau­rant sta­tions are manned by cel­e­brated chefs such as James Porter, Sa­man­tha Sanz, Sean Cur­rid and Beau MacMil­lan.

April 29, 7-10 pm, $145/$225 ( VIP).

GOLF TOUR­NA­MENT

Hit the links at the long-awaited Moun­tain Shad­ows golf course, and your four­some will be paired with a renowned chef, star mixol­o­gist or no­table sports fig­ure. Plenty of food, beer and spir­its keep play­ers go­ing through­out the event. April 29, 10:30 am reg­is­tra­tion/ noon tee, $400.
