A FEW IDEAS FOR FATHER’S DAY
Father's Day is June 19—here are some ideas to celebrate Dad all month.
There are plenty of events Father’s Day weekend, which this year is June 18 and 19. Check out the calendar on page 6 for details on the Washington Brewers Festival, Fenders on Front Street car show and more. Even if you aren’t in town that weekend, there are still plenty of options for spoiling Dad. Consider taking him to a Mariners game at Safeco Field (seattle.mariners.mlb.com. 1250 First Ave. S). While Seattle’s baseball team isn’t in town on Father’s Day weekend, there are 13 home games in June. Another fun option is a brewery crawl in Ballard. This neighborhood is home to many small breweries in a walkable area. Check out Reuben’s Brews (5010 14th Ave. NW), Peddler Brewing Company (1514 N.W. Leary Way), Lucky Envelope Brewing (907 N.W. 50th St.), Populuxe Brewing (826 N.W. 49th St.) and Stoup Brewing (1108 N.W. 52nd St.)— and that’s only a few! Looking for some food? If dad likes barbecue, two good options nearby are Bitterroot (5239 Ballard Ave. NW) or Two Shoe BBQ (4105 Leary Way NW).
