∙OTHER PHOTO ART Inaplace that’s filled with green, blue, and other tropical hues, photographer Clyde Butcher chooses to shoot in black and white. The famed Florida wildlife photographer has been capturing the Sunshine State’s natural ecosystem, from the ocean to swamps, for decades and believes that by using simple colors, the true beauty of nature is the focus. From Oct. 3 to 30, his exhibit,“Preserving Florida’s Legacy,” will be on display at the MicheleTuegelContemporary,320 Central Ave. in St. Petersburg. Butcher will also be attending an artist reception for the opening on Oct. 3 from 2 to 5 p.m. See Florida in a whole newlight with his one-of-a-kind photography, it’s sure to change your whole perspective of our beautiful state.
