Walker’s Point plays host to the first Sept. 23, fea­tur­ing a line-up of mu­sic, food and en­ter­tain­ment that cel­e­brates the neigh­bor­hood’s di­ver­sity and cul­ture. The fes­ti­val takes place noon–10 p.m. on Fifth Street between Na­tional Av­enue and Vir­ginia Street in Mil­wau­kee. En­ter­tain­ment in­cludes lo­cal or­ga­ni­za­tions and mu­si­cians, such as Core el Cen­tro, a neigh­bor­hood non­profit ded­i­cated to heal­ing and well­ness; the Mil­wau­kee Bal­let; mu­sic from Big Style Brass Band, Abraxes, Evan Chris­tian, Funk Sum­mit Bass Team, Lo­vanova, and oth­ers; Ham­burger Mary’s Drag Show; and more.
