Inuit singer and performance artist returns to Shannon Hall at the Wisconsin Union Theater, 800 Langdon St. in Madison, with her “Retribution” program. Tagaq — trained as a throat singer — first found international recognition for collaborations with Björk. She has since performed all over the globe, shining light on her social, political and environmental message and uncommon artistry. The concert takes place Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 to $35 for the general public, with discounted rates for UW-Madison students, faculty and staff; Union members and non-UW students; and youth up to 18. 608-265-3000 or union.wisc.edu
