Wisconsin coalition hatches 5-year strategic plan
A coalition of 180 Wisconsin organizations dedicated to conserving birds has unveiled a five-year strategic plan for preservation and conservation.
The Wisconsin Bird Conservation Initiative includes bird clubs, hunting and fishing groups, government agencies, land trusts, nature centers, environmental groups, universities and businesses.
Goals include conserving and restoring endangered, threatened and rare bird species and their habitats; educating people about birds; and promoting birdwatching. — L.N.
