Malted Milk Brownies

With lots of dark chocolate chips and malted milk flavor, these luscious brownies are impossible to resist!

BROWNIES 1 cup butter, at room temperatur­e

1 cup dark chocolate chips,

6 oz. 2/3 cup granulated sugar

4 eggs, lightly beaten

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup malted milk powder

1/2 tsp. salt

FROSTING 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips, 3 oz. 1/2 cup malted milk powder

1/4 cup milk

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

2 cups confection­ers’ sugar Malted milk balls, optional

Brownies: Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 8" square baking pan with enough foil to overhang sides by 2"; coat with cooking spray. In pot, combine butter and chocolate; over medium heat, cook, stirring, until just melted and smooth. Do not overheat. Remove from heat; cool slightly. Stir in sugar, then eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour, milk powder and salt until just mixed. Pour into pan. Bake 40-45 minutes until edges are set and toothpick inserted into center comes out with moist crumbs clinging. Cool.

Frosting: In pot, combine butter with chocolate; over medium heat, cook, stirring, until smooth. Remove from heat. Stir in milk powder, milk and vanilla. Transfer to bowl; cool completely, about 20 minutes. On low speed, gradually beat in sugar until blended; on medium, beat 2 minutes. Spread over brownies. If desired, garnish with malted milk balls.
