The Christ­mas fruit that stops hair loss!

Turns out, one of the sea­son’s most tra­di­tional desserts—that sea­sonal Bri­tish sweet-and-sa­vory sta­ple mince­meat pie—is loaded with in­gre­di­ents that can dra­mat­i­cally en­hance your health!

❏ 4 diced ap­ples with peel (sweet va­ri­eties such as Fuji or Golden De­li­cious)

❏ 2 cups ap­ple juice

❏ 1 tsp. ground all­spice

❏ 1 cup each cran­ber­ries and cur­rants

❏ 1/4 cup brown sugar

❏ Juice and zest from 1 large orange

❏ Splash of rum, sherry or brandy, op­tional ✤ Add all in­gre­di­ents into a pot, cover and sim­mer on low for 15-30 min­utes, stirring oc­ca­sion­ally and adding more juice if nec­es­sary. Then, if de­sired, stir in al­co­hol, re­move from heat and let cool. Pour mix­ture into a pre­pared pie crust, fold into muf­fin or bread

bat­ter, use to top ice cream

or oat­meal or as a fill­ing for tarts and baked ap­ples.
