● Why these soups work so well
Scientists say there’s something about the way soup solids are suspended in liquid that confuses our bodies, triggering a flood of “stop eating” hormones after we’ve consumed relatively few calories. And that’s any ordinary soup. “The soup ingredients I use are packed with nutrients proven to help you lose fat faster,” says Villacorta. Since most of Villacorta’s soups are puréed, we’re able to absorb more nutrients than we normally would, maximizing benefits dramatically.
