Sa­vor the taste of fall with a tangy ap­ple­in­fused cock­tail! “I re­ally love drinks that con­tain an aroma or fla­vor that cap­tures the sea­son, so I like to use ap­ples and bak­ing spices like cin­na­mon, nut­meg or cloves,” says Chris Car­done, the United States Bar­tenders Guild’s 2017 Bar­tender of the Year. Try Chris’ Ap­ple-y Ever Af­ter: In a shaker with ice, add 1⁄ oz. ap­ple cider, 11⁄ oz. aged 2 2 rum, 1⁄ oz. brandy, 3⁄ oz. lemon juice and 1⁄ oz. 2 4 2 cin­na­mon syrup (to make: add 1 cup su­gar and 1 cin­na­mon stick to 1 cup boil­ing wa­ter; sim­mer for 10 min­utes). Shake. Strain into an ice-filled glass and top with a splash of ginger beer.
