Gregorian chant—a type of sacred song performed a cappella by monks— has been shown to lower blood pressure and dial back depression by 35%. These chants are comprised of six ancient tones called solfeggio frequencies, which resonate at the same energetic frequency as our bodies and are believed to have the ability to reduce stress, improve mood and even repair DNA. A wonderful collection: Antiphon In Paradisum as performed by The Cistercian Monks of Stift Heiligenkreuz.
