Woman's World

Reminders of love

-

When Woman’s World reader Elfrieda Van Niekerk lost both her mother and her sister, she hoped they were together and at peace. She soon received unmistakable signs straight from Heaven! She writes:

My mother, Mathilde Lautsch, and I were very close. She was always there for me. She passed away at age 97. I was blessed to have her for so long. Still, I missed her dearly and wished I could know that she was still with me.

As always, Mom didn’t let me down.

Mom loved gardening and had many beautiful monarch butterflies in her flower beds. After she passed, suddenly, monarchs always seemed to be flying around me.

On my 65th birthday, my daughter had a barbecue for all the family. It was a beautiful sunny day. I thought of my mother not being there on my special day. Just then, a beautiful monarch flew and landed on my lawn chair. I was sure it was my mother saying, “Yes, I am here for your birthday!”

When my oldest sister, Anna, passed away, we were all driving back from the cemetery, and I thought, Now Anna will be with you in Heaven, Mom. At the exact moment, I looked out of the

“I’ll always be grateful for the amazing signs my loved ones send!”car window and saw a license plate that said “MATHILDE.”

I knew right then that this was my mother once again letting me know that she is still with us.

After Anna had been gone for a few months, I prayed one night, “Anna, give me a sign that you are okay!” I woke up, and the lamp that I had inherited from her was blinking on and off; then I looked at my radio clock, it too was flashing, but the clock on my husband’s side table was not. I knew that was Anna letting me know, “I’m okay, sis!”

I’ll always be grateful for the amazing signs my loved ones send as a reminder that they’re watching over me!
