BELLING­HAM — Wil­liam J. Nadon passed away un­ex­pect­edly at home, en­ter­ing into eter­nal rest on July 26, 2017. Mr. Nadon was the lov­ing hus­band, Jean F. (Adams) Nadon. He was the de­voted fa­ther to Bil­liegene A. Lavallee and her hus­band Roland A. of Belling­ham; Wil­liam J. Nadon II and his wife Rose­mary of Har­risville; Brenda L. Spur­lock and her hus­band Earl of Sut­ton, N.H.; and Wanda M. Morse of North­bridge. He was also lov­ing grand­fa­ther to Roland Jr., Billy, An­drea, Thjodie, Sab­rina and Wendy, A.J. and Noah. Mr. Nadon was great­grand­fa­ther to Jen­nifer, David Jr., Ash­ley, Han­nah, Tommy and Wil­liam Wy­att.

Mr. Nadon, known to all as Bill or Billy, was born in Bris­tol, N.H., and ed­u­cated in Bradford and New­port schools. Bill started work­ing in agri­cul­ture at 14 years old, moved on to woolen, pa­per and lum­ber mills, op­er­ated long-dis­tance lum­ber trucks, and worked for sev­eral garages. A res­i­dent of Belling­ham since 1954, Bill worked for Schafer Farm and Wal­nut Farms Inc. He tran­si­tioned to Rosen­feld Con­crete in 1963 as a heavy equip­ment and wrecker op­er­a­tor and me­chanic, re­tir­ing in 1988. Bill was an ac­tive mem­ber of Team­sters Lo­cal 170 through re­tire­ment.

A for­mer mem­ber of the Belling­ham Per­son­nel Board, Mr. Nadon was also a mem­ber of the Holy Name So­ci­ety of As­sump­tion Parish and the Masponock Rod and Gun Club of Mil­ford. He was an avid hunter and fish­er­man with a pas­sion for square danc­ing, four-wheel­ing, gar­den­ing, and singing and play­ing his gui­tar. High school sweet­hearts, Bill and Jean Nadon cel­e­brated 67 years of mar­riage in 2016.

Mr. Nadon was a com­mu­ni­cant of St. Blaise Parish (for­merly of As­sump­tion Church in South Belling­ham).

Fu­neral will be held on Wed­nes­day, Aug. 2, 2017, at 8 a.m. from CARTIER’S FU­NERAL HOME, 151 South Main St. (Route 126), Belling­ham, with a Mass of Chris­tian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Blaise Church, 1158 South Main St., Belling­ham. In­ter­ment will fol­low at Sunny Plain Ceme­tery, Bradford, N.H. Vis­it­ing hours are on Tues­day, Aug. 1, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the fu­neral home. In lieu of flow­ers, do­na­tions may be made in Mr. Nadon’s name to the So­ci­ety for the Pro­tec­tion of N.H.
