The Art of Killing Magic? Mana? How blue your feeling? Exactly what Dark Souls 3’s new blue bar contains is hard to define, as it’s not just drained by spellcasting. The bar also powers new Weapon Arts, powerful new moves unique to each weapon you find. Use a weapon two-handed and you’ll be able to indulge in deadly spinning strikes or an incredibly powerful rushing attack. We’d have kept playing two-handed, but if we tried to preview Dark Souls 3 without a shield this would be 3000 words of describing the ‘YOU DIED’ screen, and we’re saving that gold for the review.
