Somme like it hot

XBox: The Official Magazine (US) - - START - Matthew Castle Editor Matthew was nervous about Tom reviewing Homefront, just in case he got any big ideas about overthrowing malicious dictators.

You join us this month in the middle of a fight for the soul of the first-person shooter. In the mudbrown corner is Battlefield 1, taking us back to the birth of modern warfare in the grim trenches of World War I. And in the shiny chrome corner is the space fleet of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, where war goes galactic. It’s a war of ideologies: those who shape their action within the confines of historic reality versus those who invent all-new wars to fit their design purposes. From our cover pick you can see that we’re siding with DICE on this one; while I have some reservations about mining the most horrific of wars for fun, I’m also tired of zipping around futuristic arenas like some magic gnat-man. Of course, I’m sure I’m only one

Titanfall 2 demo away from changing my mind about that. Naturally, more on that next month in our huge E3 special. For now, enjoy the issue.
