The game’s brand new Blitz mode utilizes a mixture of powerful hero units and collectable card decks. The aim here is simple: collect power points (either by trashing nodes, or holding zones) and then exchange them for various cards from your deck. These cards take the form of in-game units, powerups and even status effects, with the likes of the devastating Scarab attack costing far more than a simple squad of marines. Like the game itself, Blitz is simple to grasp. We’ll have loads more on this mode and the rest of Halo Wars 2‘ s multiplayer suite in next month’s issue.
