They make the games we love, but what do they play for fun? We ask developers to pick their faves from Xbox history. This month:

I was one of those rare people that actually wasn’t a big Halo player on the first Xbox. For me, when I think about shooters, it’s Call Of Duty 2. I thought that was incredible. That was when I was like, “Okay, shooters on consoles are real.”

Assassin’s Creed 2 [1] on the Xbox 360 was the first game that I got all the Achievements for. They took the ideas from the first one, they polished it, and that worked really well. It was this openworld. I could climb on everything, I could do what I wanted to do. And I loved the character. I paid attention [to the story] and was actually surprised when things happened. I play Minecraft [2] with my kids all the time. But I play it on the Xbox 360, actually. I think the Xbox 360 is such a great platform. On Xbox One, it’s GTA V [3]. It’s such a great game. What can’t you say about GTA? Another one of the Xbox 360 era was Limbo [4]. I

really liked Limbo. That was, I think, the first game I downloaded on Xbox Live Arcade and thought, “Okay, there’s something to this whole smaller experience and shorter [play] time.” The other one was Trials HD. Those were my two favorite Xbox Live Arcade games. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve played more of what my kids play. I love the Lego games. They’re great on Xbox One. There are so many. My son’s totally into Lego Dimensions [5]. Without me calling out our own games... I think Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor is one of my favorite games. Honestly, on Xbox One, I got all the Achievements.
