The games we want the most

XBox: The Official Magazine (US) - - PREVIEW -

The stage of history is being set for battle once more for Soulcalibur VI (p24). We’ve been handson with the game to check out how its fighting is shaping up, and whether the return to the series is worth the wait. We’ve also got loads of info on a brand new character and a few more familiar faces who are joining the roster. Next we take a look at the mysterious co-op shooter that is GTFO (p28) and its terrifying bunker full of zombie-things and terrifying grabby-tentacles with teeth. It doesn’t look like the best of working environments, but the whole process seems marginally less dangerous than working at

OXM. The zombies look far less deadly than Steve and Warren before they’ve had their mid-morning coffees. Elsewhere we get up close and personal with the mayhem in Far Cry 5 (p30) to see what we’ve got to look forward to in its imminent release. From dispatching dangerous cultists to taking part in a testicle festival, it looks set to cater to everyone’s tastes, no matter how bizarre they may be. Finally, it’s time to start over with a new life in a faraway land, where you can build up your own business, and maybe romance some locals in My Time At Portia (p36). Can it replace the Stardew Valley- shaped nook in our hearts? We’ve spent a few hours with the game’s crafting and exploring to find out.
