THE BITTER END
J CLASS RENAISSANCE
The J Class, arguably among the most beautiful sailing yachts ever to cross a start line, has seen a major resurgence in recent years, with six new hulls commissioned and two more on the way, augmenting the three survivors from the 1930s. The fleet has begun to gather for racing events on both sides of the Atlantic and points between. A marquis J Class regatta took place in bermuda in June, in conjunction with the 35th America’s Cup. Seven Js, old and new, competed to the delight of sailors around the world.
