Since its found­ing by the Bal­ducci fam­ily in 1985, Overmarine Group has be­come known for its ded­i­ca­tion to in­vest­ment in new tech­nolo­gies and in­no­va­tive de­vel­op­ment. In its quest for progress, it has ex­panded from its Viareg­gio base and ac­quired a fa­cil­ity near Pisa, where the Man­gusta Oceano and the Man­gusta GranS­port lines, Overmarine Group’s re­cent ven­ture into steel and dis­place­ment hulls, are built. With more than 300 yachts de­liv­ered and so many years in the busi­ness, Man­gusta is a brand of great tra­di­tion and dis­tinc­tive­ness, which to­day boasts three dif­fer­ent prod­uct lines: three dif­fer­ent ways to ex­pe­ri­ence the sea, but of­fer­ing the same tech­ni­cal in­no­va­tion, the same man­u­fac­tur­ing qual­ity and the same phi­los­o­phy that sees the ves­sel as the ideal way for an owner to live a truly per­sonal ex­pe­ri­ence.

The line of the tra­di­tion is that of the Man­gusta Maxi Opens. It’s the sporty, fast yacht par ex­cel­lence, which al­lows mov­ing quickly from one place to an­other in full com­fort (in terms of on­board space, but also in terms of noise, sta­bi­liza­tion and vi­bra­tions). To the Man­gusta Oceano line be­long trideck ocean­go­ing ves­sels in metal. They are op­ti­mized for a range to ri­val those of the ex­plorer ves­sels—up to 5,000 miles—and have a beach area that can be turned into a toys area. Last but not least, there’s the new fast dis­place­ment line, Man­gusta GranS­port, fall­ing be­tween the full-dis­place­ment and plan­ing mod­els. These are long-range ves­sels with their best per­for­mance in dis­place­ment mode but ca­pa­ble, at the same time, to reach higher speeds, those typ­i­cal of high per­for­mance yachts, when­ever de­sired by the owner.

The group spans 10 pro­duc­tion fa­cil­i­ties in Tus­cany, Italy, to­tal­ing around 190,000 square me­ters. It also

has two wharves equipped for the fi­nal prepa­ra­tion of the yachts, lay­over and the af­ter-sales ser­vice. All pro­cesses are car­ried out within the group’s com­pa­nies, from de­sign­ing and mak­ing molds, to mold­ing, lam­i­na­tion in com­pos­ite ma­te­ri­als and cut­ting the steel, through to fit­ting the in­te­ri­ors, in­clud­ing the elec­tron­ics and on­board sys­tems. The group also has its own in-house de­sign depart­ment able to sat­isfy all the lay­out and decor de­mands of our own­ers, as well as a cut­ting-edge tech­ni­cal of­fice and af­ter-sales ser­vice avail­able 24/7.

The af­ter-sales ser­vice, to­gether with a strate­gic net­work of of­fices and as­sis­tance in dif­fer­ent ar­eas of the world, is able to help own­ers with their yachts be­fore, dur­ing and af­ter de­liv­ery.
