San Pasqual’s Steele wins middle school wrestling Calif. state championship

Nicholas Steele, an eighth grader at San Pasqual, beat 14-time national champion Robert Perez to claim the USA Wrestling California middle school state championship at 150 pounds on Sunday in Fresno, Calif.

Steele had a 5-0 record at the event, and won the final match via a 7-4 decision.

Steele won the Terminator World Championships in Prescott Valley on March 11 and the Arizona middle school state championship in January.
