The Arizona Western baseball team needed only three pitchers to get through Saturday’s doublehead­er, and the results showed why.

Jayden Murray, Irving Martin and Eric Ligda combined to allow only two runs combined over 16 innings in the Matadors’ twogame sweep of Eastern Arizona by scores of 3-1 and 2-1.

In game one, a seveninnin­g game as part of the conference’s system, Murray mowed down the Gila
