Yuma Sun - - OPINION - BY ARGUS HAMILTON

• Folsom High School officials in California on Thursday banned students from chanting USA during games or at pep rallies. They are afraid it might offend some Hispanic students. My take is, this is a California public school so we should be celebrating the fact that the students can spell USA.

• President Trump’s approval jumped 10 points last week when polls show Americans approved his handling of hurricanes Harvey and Irma. It’s called a charmed life. Hundreds of thousands of Americans were rescued from the hurricanes while Donald Trump was rescued BY the hurricanes.

• President Trump and First Lady Melania toured a few of the Hurricane Irma stricken areas in Naples where the president promised federal aid to rebuild. After a long wait, the people of Miami got the news they wanted. The new iPhone 8 will be available to rob later this month.

• President Trump incited ire among GOP conservatives by hosting a dinner at the White House to discuss illegal immigration issues with Nancy Pelosi. The evening made history. It was the first time that The Donald invited a woman his own age to dinner since LBJ was the president.
