The most decorated female athlete in Yuma County history put on cleats for Yuma High’s track and field team one last time. That’d be, of course, Jacquelyn Johnson, whose firstplace finishes in the 100-meter hurdles and the long jump on the final day of her final 5A state meet brought her career state title count to an AIA-record 14. Johnson, who went on to be a 2008 Olympian, won long jump/high jump all four of her high school years, triple jump all but her junior year and the 100-meter hurdles all but her freshman year.
