No. 7 UW at No. 17 Ore­gon top Pac-12 game this week­end

Here are some things to watch in Week 7 of the Pac12 Con­fer­ence foot­ball sea­son:


No. 7 Wash­ing­ton at No. 17 Ore­gon. The Ducks (4-1, 1-1 Pac-12) had an 11-game win­ning streak over the Huskies (5-1, 3-0) un­til the past two years. That’s when Wash­ing­ton outscored Ore­gon 108-24, in­clud­ing a 70-21 rout in 2016. QB Jake Brown­ing is 13th in the con­fer­ence record books with 10,612 ca­reer pass­ing yards. He needs 185 yards to move into the top 10. This is the first time Ore­gon has faced three straight ranked op­po­nents while they have been ranked. Ore­gon QB Justin Her­bert has thrown a TD pass in 20 con­sec­u­tive games


No. 19 Colorado at USC. In a game that is ex­pected to es­tab­lish the team to beat in the South Di­vi­sion, the Buf­faloes (5-0) are 2-0 in the Pac12 for the first time since 2010. QB Steven Mon­tez is 10th in the na­tion in pass­ing ef­fi­ciency (174.2). The Tro­jans (3-2, 2-1) have won 18 straight at home, in­clud­ing 13 straight at home against con­fer­ence foes. They are 57-7-1 since 1955 fol­low­ing a bye week.

Stan­ford, Wash­ing­ton State, Ari­zona State and Ore­gon State have a bye week . ... UCLA re­mains one of nine teams in the Foot­ball Bowl Sub­di­vi­sion who has con­verted all of its op­por­tu­ni­ties in the red zone . ... Utah’s Jay­lon John­son, who was the Pac-12 de­fen­sive player of the week, is the first Ute since 1994 to re­turn an in­ter­cep­tion 100 yards for a touch­down. John­son was one of three Pac-12 play­ers to re­turn an in­ter­cep­tion for a touch­down last week.


UCLA at Cal­i­for­nia. The Bears are 7 1/2-point home fa­vorites over the Bru­ins, who have been com­pet­i­tive in losses to Colorado and Wash­ing­ton.


Laviska Shenault, Colorado. The sopho­more wide re­ceiver is the first player in school his­tory to score mul­ti­ple touch­downs rush­ing and re­ceiv­ing in the same game. He had two touch­downs re­ceiv­ing and two rush­ing in last week’s win over Ari­zona State. He also is the fifth re­ceiver in con­fer­ence his­tory to be named of­fen­sive player of the week twice in the same sea­son.
