New Manufacturer of Electrical Ware
A new plant, NUKUSELECTROAPPARAT, has been commissioned in September in Nukus to meet the needs of the energy sector of Uzbekistan in equipment. It is worth mentioning that the production facilities were built in less than nine months.
It all began on January 21, 2017. A decision on the construction of a new enterprise was made during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Karakalpakstan. Ten days later, NUKUSELECTROAPPARAT LLC was registered. The volume of investments for the project amounted to $8 million.
FE LLC Toshelectroapparat, its founder, continued searching for co-investors concurrently with the beginning of construction of production facilities. As a result, on March 13, 2017, the new enterprise passed the state re-registration as a JV LLC NUKUSELECTROAPPARAT.
The percentage of investments in the construction of this plant was distributed as follows: 20% by a local investor FE LLC Toshelectroapparat, and 80% by the Swiss company JSC Tanotrade.
A modern production building has appeared on a recently vacant piece of land by September. Six production modules were built there. A warehouse and an open cargo area for finished products were built to maintain the major production.
The enterprise is equipped with the latest high-tech equipment by Italian, Swiss, Turkish and other manufacturers. The staff was selected and trained. So far, it employs 200 people, and in the future, when the plant reaches full production capacity of 1,100 units a year, it will employ 500 workers.
The first batch of products has come off the assembly line in September. The plant is focused on meeting the needs of the country’s energy complex in equipment for reception, conversion and distribution of electric energy, on supplying the Uzbek market with highvoltage electrical products, and on ensuring import substitution.
Packaged transformer substations of 6-10 kV - PTS-6 (10), meeting international quality standards, will be the major type of equipment produced at the new plant.
There are plans afoot to organize exports of products to the Central Asian states, the CIS, and Russia. To promote it, it is planned to actively participate in specialized exhibitions in the republic and abroad, promote products in the Internet, in periodicals, distribute advertising sheets, booklets and hand-outs, demonstrate production capacities. It is also planned to develop projects on engineering and quality of products, and implement them on turnkey terms with technical support in the process of operation.
